YB Series Prefabricated Substation

YB-12/0.4 prefabricated substation (YB□-12/0.4) is a factory-assembled, compact power unit that integrates medium-voltage switchgear, a distribution transformer (oil-immersed or dry-type up to 2500 kVA), and low-voltage switchgear in a single weatherproof enclosure. It is designed for 3.6–12 kV three-phase AC networks and is delivered completely wired, tested, and ready for energisation upon arrival.

The enclosure is fabricated from double-skinned steel panels with thermal insulation and a corrosion-resistant paint system. The three compartments — MV, transformer, and LV — are separated by earthed metal barriers, each with independent access doors and pressure-relief panels. The transformer compartment is ventilated with baffled louvres to maintain a Class E temperature rise while preventing direct water ingress.

The YB series supports a wide range of internally mounted equipment: MV switchgear (load-break switches, SF6 RMUs, or vacuum circuit breakers), oil or cast-resin dry-type transformers from 50 kVA to 2500 kVA, and LV switchgear (MCCBs, fuse-switch-disconnectors, power factor correction). Every substation is built to the customer's specific single-line diagram and load schedule.

Applications extend beyond conventional utility and industrial distribution to include large engineering-machinery power supply (e.g., tunnel-boring machines), photovoltaic power station step-up units, wind-farm pad-mounted transformers, and temporary construction site substations. The fully prefabricated design reduces on-site civil and installation time to days rather than weeks.

Compliant with GB 17467, GB/T 11022, DL/T 537, IEC 62271-1, and IEC 62271-202. Full factory acceptance testing is performed including dielectric tests, temperature-rise runs, and mechanical operation verification of all doors, panels, and interlocks. Shipping is on a flatbed trailer with lifting brackets and tie-down points.
