How to Evaluate a Low Voltage Switchgear Manufacturer in China
A procurement checklist for overseas buyers comparing low voltage switchgear manufacturers, technical documents, factory capability, and quotation quality.
Start with the single line diagram
A serious switchgear quotation starts with the buyer's single line diagram, load list, voltage level, component preference, metering requirement, and installation environment. A supplier that quotes only by cabinet count is usually missing important engineering risk.
For industrial projects, the RFQ should confirm rated current, short-circuit level, frequency, feeder quantity, protection logic, and destination standard before production.
Check factory and testing capability
Buyers should review production workflow, assembly capability, quality inspection, factory acceptance testing, export packing, and documentation control. Real factory evidence matters more than generic catalog claims.
For low voltage switchgear, IEC 61439 or BS EN 61439 alignment, component certificates, FAT records, and wiring inspection records are useful indicators.
Compare quotation completeness
A professional quotation should identify model number, standards, HS code assumption, excluded works, drawings required, delivery term, packing method, and response time for technical revisions.
Public online prices are usually not suitable for industrial switchgear because component brands, ratings, and project standards change the bill of materials.
